What is CritterLab?

We are creating a cutting-edge interactive evolutionary artificial-life laboratory to explore,  research, accelerate, and clarify humanity’s artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics endeavors.




Some features being planned in the next version of the Critterding codebase:

  • Neuromorphic Neural Network Evolvers
  • Environments that encourage development of the ability to climb hills, seek food, and socialize, and other tasks available as pluggable fitness functions
  • Critters access a networked digital morphic field and shared canvas for culture and memory
  • Plant ecosystem involving psychoactive edible neurotransmitters (exogenous hormones) mixed with food (soil energy source) to refine foraging and encourage appearance of intelligence
  • Biological implementation of DNA based on the Genetic Wavelet Algorithm (GWA)
